As we continue to progress in our learning of crochet, I wanted to share this video with you. The front post double crochet (or triple crochet) is a stitch used to create a raised stitch in various patterns. It's a great stitch to learn if you want to give the illusion of ribbing or to create crochet cables. The Crochet Cabled Scarf is a great pattern to help you practice the Front Post Double Crochet stitch.
This video can be found at my YouTube channel along with all the other videos I've showcased here on the blog. I'd love to hear your feedback. Do you have a stitch you're currently struggling with or would like to learn? Let me know, maybe I can get a video done to help.

happy 300th post!! raineoc@yahoo.com
That is a nice looking stitch. Thanks for the videos - I find they are the best way to learn.

Congrats on 300 posts!
I think i need to learn the basics of crochet before I branch off into new stitches, but I'll most definitely have to bookmark this post for when that time comes. Thanks for sharing!
I am fairly confident with my stitches but the treble treble (or triple treble) drives me bonkers. I wind up doing the same stitch more than once because the yarn isn't on the hook right, or it's too loose, to tight, etc. When I see those in a pattern I know it be a long journey, lol.
Your video is really helpful. When I can't figure out a stitch, I always go to a video.
Neat stitch! I just learned to crochet last month. I have been a knitter for many years, but now I think I'm hooked on crochet! Thanks for posting this link.

How come this is the first time I've heard of this blog?!?!? And it has how-to videos?! Awesome! Want to pick it back up again and move beyond the dollies I use to do for my mom and granny so I definitely will be back to watch the videos! Interested in doing the hats.
I learned how to knit many years ago ~ any chance I can learn how to crochet from a video ~ how I wish (:
