A few weeks ago on Pinterest I saw this amazing project with colored cake! Kids love color, so I thought it would be a great project to do with my son over the weekend, when we get the best chance for fun baking, and enjoy the process as well as the eating.
The project that was pinned was from Hostess With The Mostess' blog. She in turn credited The Omnomicon for posting this How to Make a Rainbow Cake Tutorial for weight watchers. Although the cake was a "diet" cake, no one in my family is on a diet so I just used the color idea and went for it.
I don't think I have to give you the play-by-play because the images will speak for themselves! Just know it was a fun easy project that kept us busy for a couple of hours and happy with snacks for a few days!

These look great! My kids would have loved these when they were younger, now 18 and 21; I might make them for myself

I love the different colors in the cakes. I had made a similar cake for a scrap project party. We had to bring balls of any color, and we mixed it up between one another. My husband at the time said when you are making cupcakes for a knitting or crocheting party, my issue wasn't obsession, it was addiction and asked if any of the yarn suppliers had a rehab facility!!!! lol
How fun are these? And someone looks really excited about these colorful cupcakes! Great!
Wow, they look really tasty and lots of fun to make.
