Pink for Project Spectrum in August!

I love to do Project Spectrum because color is such a big part of why I love to play with yarn!! When I get to the yarn shop I'm always attracted by the best looking and vibrant colors first, then I sort by my project needs . . . The color for August in Project Spectrum is Pink, and although I tend not to be a big fan of Pink, I find that it often attracts my attention in the yarn shop...Here are a few. . . Come by my Facebook Page to see other work and become a V.I.P!

Nesting. . .

As many of you may know, I'm 8 months pregnant and waiting to have my baby girl any day now. Why do I tell you that? Because usually at this stage there is a "nesting" process that happens. Mom's want things to be clean and tidy and ready for their coming bundles of joy! I want the same thing too, but because my body has it's "sensitivities" I have to spend more time taking it easy than cleaning. That brings me to my nesting activities, creating my yummy patterns and items in an effort to relax and go through my stash!

So far, things have been going well. No, most items, actually no items are for the baby. I find it difficult to make items for the baby right now, but I have been a busy girl!

I'm lovin' the fun projects I'm working on and these are just a few! In the coming weeks there'll be a lot more. . . of course after the baby comes mostly since I am in the "any-day-now" realm. But come by often and see what's new! I'll be selling the patterns as well as the prototypes so send your friends to the Etsy Shop you never know what they'll fall in love with! Oh yeah, and more contest will be coming!

FO's

In my sidebar ------> I have a section called "What I'm working on" where I list my projects, at least the ones that I can get on the list before they're done. Since I've been working on and getting things done faster than I can update, I haven't listed everything, but I have listed the ones that have taken me some time. Below I can finally show you a few of the items since I've had time to take photos!

This scarf is one I call the "ice scarf" because the color makes me think of beautiful icicles in the winter. This scarf is crocheted and will be listed in my Etsy shop. I loved making this scarf because I did it on my commute to and from work and it took me to another place. It was fun and turned out beautifully.

This is the "Granny Scarf" because it is obviously made of granny squares. For a little while I stayed away from granny squares because they always seemed to have a "stigma" attached to them, but I decided to make this scarf because I think granny squares are funky! I've seen a few items that use granny squares effectively and loved it. So, my granny scarf is only the beginning of my granny experience.

Here are a few items not listed in the sidebar, but that I finished and that will soon be listed in my Etsy shop!

See, I'm busy behind the scenes making lots of new items to sell on Etsy as well as my upcoming shows! I'm waiting to hear if I got into a huge show in December and I think I'll be doing a show with my fellow "Boston Handmade" team members in October. I'm so excited at the pace things are going. I'll make sure to keep you updated in the sidebar ----> under "Where am I?".
