Crochet Neck Warmer Cowl - Chocolate Brown and Cranberry Red - OOAK

Chocolate Brown and Cranberry Red Neckwarmer

This Crochet Neckwarmer / Cowl is soft, warm and stylish! Great for any season you need a hug around the neck. This crochet piece is "One Of A Kind" made in chocolate brown and cranberry red for ultimate pop! I started this piece while sitting in the park enjoying a beautiful summer day with my family.

The color combination just seemed to work so I decided to intertwine the yarns throughout the piece and create a One of a Kind Neckwarmer/Cowl. I also added vintage buttons for a "retro" feel. What do you think?

It's a hip crochet piece that is sure to please! Crocheted with soft worsted weight acrylic yarn, it's a lovely addition to your accessory collection.

One size will fit most. Because of it's scrunchy nature, it's a comfortable fit.

I'd love to hear what you think of the color combination? What do you think of the style? What color combinations would you like to see? What do you think about the price, it's currently listed for $34.97, do you think that's a fair price?

Believe me, if I'm asking the question, I'd love to hear the answer!

Odds & Ends

Finished!! Martha and I met at an Obama rally in September. I gave her my card because she and her husband had forgotten their camera and asked if I could take some photos of their family with Barack in the background. I did and giving her my card was the easiest way for her to send me a quick email so I could in turn send her the photo.

She noticed that I made knit and crochet items so she decided to place an order and so came to be this beautiful piece that will be off to her this week. I plan on making it available in my Etsy shop as a custom item.

Technique: Knit
Materials: Merino Wool
Pattern: Mine

This really great circular/regular scarf has been done for some time, but I've never taken any photos! It is extra-long, soft and incredibly versitile. You can find it at my Etsy shop. This one is currently available, but this will also be listed as a custom item. I love it when I'm able to offer items as "custom" because the customer can then decide what color they want, order it, make some adjustments and have just what they want.

Technique: Crochet
Materials: Acylic
Pattern: Mine

I was featured in a blog post about neckwarmers! It's so exciting when people look at my items and love them so much they want to feature them! Take a look at this article on Clippings.

This week I was featured in two treasuries!

This one was curated by LycheeKiss

This one was curated by This Is Bexx Called Boston Handmade. She is a fellow memeber and she created this treasury to promote our presence in downtown Boston from November 28 to December 28!

Can you say exciting week!!! Can't wait to see what this week brings!

Love it when a plan comes together. . .

In the past two weeks I've been working extra hard to get a few things done. I'm happy to say, I'm on schedule and here are a few completed projects for the archives. I've listed the chunky scarves in my Etsy shop as custom items because the ones in the photos will be part of my inventory at the Urban Living Studio in Boston! The cowl is listed and ready to be shipped!

I can't wait to show you the other things I have coming down the pike! Until then, enjoy these!

More stuff to show

Every so often I actually have the time to not only photograph my completed project, but to show them here. I'm so excited that I had the chance to do quite a bit of work this weekend on my "yarny" projects.

This really chunky and long dark green scarf is part of my effort to design and make more items for the men in my audience. I have a husband and son who I think deserve as much attention as I get, so this scarf helps me move in that direction. It's about 6.5 feet long and really warm. It's made with a wool/acrylic blend yarn that is amazingly warm. It's up on Etsy so you have the opportunity to make it yours! It is also available as a custom item with your color choices.

This soft, snuggly item is the cotton candy cowl listed in the "what I'm working on" section in the sidebar ----> It's so warm and snuggly, you'll just love it! Made from a soy, wool, and acrylic blend yarn, it's perfect for indoor and outdoor wearing just to have that cozy feeling. Available at my Etsy Shop.

Finally, but not least are the beautiful wristwarmers I made specifically for my niece. I have completed her pair and got an extra pair in the process that may be gone before they actually hit the market! These are soft, fingerless and warm for easy mobility. They are an item I offer with custom color options since there are so many fantastic colors to choose from.

So there you have my latest completed projects. . . I know I still have one or two to show you, but I haven't had the opportunity to process them completely yet. Rest assured, once I do, you'll be the first to see them here.

Enjoy!
